Påsk i Broby
en liten ort i Skåne
(Easter Day in the village Broby
in south of Sweden)

Påskdagen 27 mars 2005
Var på en liten biltur för att titta på stormens
härjningar i norra Skåne, men på torget i Broby
såg vi något festligt...
(We were taking a tour by car to look
what the hurricane Gudrun had caused
in the north of Skane. Here in the village
called Broby we had to stop, because
we saw something funny in the square...)

Omgiven av en
kyrka som totalrenoverades...
(Surrounded by a church which was to be totally renovated...)

...gästgivaregård...
(...the inn...) |
...och vår
tidnings lokalkontor...
(...and our local newspaper office...) |

...så
satt hon där, påskkäringen,
mitt på torget, högt uppe i flaggstången!
*hi hi*
(...there she
was, the Easter witch,
in the middle of the square,
high up on the flag pole!)

Stackarn, hon nådde
aldrig Blåkulla,
utan fastnade här i lilla Broby!
(Poor thing, she didn't reach the place, Blåkulla,
where all the Easter witches meet on Easter!) |

Lite närmare,
ser ni katten på kvasten?
(Closer now, do you see her black cat?) |

Hennes vackra
ansikte med den långa näsan,
ett mästerverk, *s*
(Her pretty face with the very long nose,
a master piece,)

och hennes
tjusiga prickiga byxor och rosa skor.
(and her beautiful dot coloured shorts and
highhealed pink shoes) |
Läste i
tidningen att hon nu blivit nerplockad och hemforslad
till kommunens förråd. Det rapporterades om att hennes
prickiga byxor började bli lite skamfilade!
(I read in our paper that she now had been
taken down and driven home to a local store.
It also said her dot coloured trousers was
the worse for wear.)
